Super Bowl Monday: Week 4 / Day 25 / Feb 4
Jerusalem, Israel: Yep, that’s right “Super Bowl Monday.” With the game starting at 1:30 AM, it is Monday. I have watched the Patriots play while overseas twice before – once for the AFC Championship Game two weeks ago and once for the Super Bowl two years ago while in Vienna with my daughter Kelly. I am 2 – 0 when doing this, so things bode well.
The bar was pretty full and the crowd was very engaged in the game.
One of the things I have already noticed during my brief time in Israel is how much more expensive food is compared to Jordan. Waaaaaay more expensive.
After the end of the game (about 5:15 AM) I made my way back to the apartment to watch post-game coverage (Yay! Slingbox and watching local Boston sports coverage!) for a few hours.
Feeling pretty exhausted after all of this, I spent most of the day reading US newspaper sports sections, watching ESPN, and napping. Overall, a very productive day. Tomorrow I head out for a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem.
